The Beacon of Lansdown

ANOTHER 185 YEARS?

logo for Beacon of LansdownHow can St Stephen's remain open as a community beacon for another 185 years?

How could we re-imagine our space for the future?

What would you like to see and do here?

St Stephen's - 'the Beacon of Lansdown' - has been welcoming and serving the community since 1840.

We are now urgently planning how to keep our doors open for the next 185 years.  The church not only has structural issues but it also needs to be re-imagined to meet not just today's needs but also those of tomorrow and for years after.

The future is challenging. For the building to survive it must be more than a Bath skyline landmark.  It needs to be fully used, community centred and a hub of financially sustainable activity and worship.

How would you future-proof our space to benefit the whole community? What events and activities would you like to see here?

Change is inevitable but first we would like to hear from you.  How can we best serve your needs, and design facilities you will support to ensure the church's inclusivity reaches beyond its services and current activities?

How can I help?
