BRANCH OUT, a Beacon of Lansdown week-long celebration of community in the Benefice is on at St Stephen's from 6 - 14 June, 2 - 4 pm. The church is packed with stylish displays from the Benefice's 'communities' both church groups and St Stephen's Crypt users plus the local schools who come to St Stephen's for celebratory services.
Inspired by nature, the decorative twig fest includes displays from St Mary's Charlcombe, St Stephen's Choir, home groups, St Stephen's bellringers, Lansdown Neighbourhood and Friendship clubs, eco church, and youth and children's groups. All three local schools - St Stephen's,Royal High and Kingswood have participated, plus the WI, Bath Decorative Floral Club, and Bath Photographic Society.
Open every day between 2 - 4 pm, the event includes a daily pop up cafe, craft events and church tours.
What better way than for the Benefice community to say thank you and a fond farewell to retiring Rector, Philip Hawthorn! It's also a brilliant demonstration of what a vibrant church St Stephen's, aka The Beacon of Lansdown, is.
