St Stephen's Church echoed with the cheerful harmonies of traditional sea shanties on 3 October. A brilliant evening of joyful melody, mirth, fun and laughter was enjoyed by an enthusiastic audience at the Beacon of Lansdown's recent fundraiser. The musical event raised more than £1,000 for the Beacon plus a generous collection of amost £200 for the Crew's dedicated charity, Teenage Cancer UK. The Port of Bristol Shanty Crew are heavily in demand with a full diary of engagements, but our year's patient wait was definitely worth it! Thank you to the Crew and the audience alike!
