Hospitality, Generosity, Inclusion
The Church is open for individual prayer on Sundays after the Service until 4:00 pm.
Our Sunday Morning Service is at 10.45am. You will always be made welcome - it’s important to us that you feel at home no matter what your tradition, beliefs of experience of Church. On first and third Sundays we have Choral Communion, while on second and fourth Sundays we meet, for a more informal communion service.
Provision for young people is available called Hangouts, which gives the oportunity for young people to enjoy an informal session in the Foyer during the sermon, and return to the Church to join the family for Holy Communion.
You do not need to have any church background to join us for these services – all are welcome: regular churchgoers, occasional visitors, people who find something in church that they can’t find anywhere else, or if you just want to find out what it’s like: all are welcome. We use the rich resources of the Church of England services, as well as music, readings and prayers from other traditions.
We are an Inclusive Church (see further information about the Church's policy and practices in relation to inclusion are on our About page of this Website .https://ststephensbath.org.uk/about/

Life Events celebrated at St stephens
Saint Stephen’s has a very strong choral tradition, and maintains an excellent choir to lead worship
Choral communion takes place on the first and third Sundays of the month. This Choir, also leads us in key festival services, such as at Christmas and Easter. Andrew Russell has been organist and choirmaster for over 30 years, and has developed the music of the church with skill and sensitivity to worship. The choir rehearses on Thursday evenings, when possible during the time of Corona.. It is a very friendly group which is always looking to welcome new members - ability to read music not essential. The Choir is now, as from August 1st 2021, leading worship on the first and third Sundays of the month.
