sundays at 10.45 a.m: worship at saint stephen's suspended until further notice
Hospitality, Generosity, Inclusion
Digital services are available each week from 9:00 am - please see below for details. The Church is still open for individual prayer on Wednesdays and Sundays from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Our Sunday Morning Service is at 10.45am. You will always be made welcome - it’s important to us that you feel at home no matter what your tradition, beliefs of experience of Church. On first and third Sundays, before the time of Corona, we had Choral Communion, while on second and fourth Sundays we met, for a more informal communion service.
When possible, after the time of Corona, there will be children's and young people's groups on the first, second and third Sundays and ‘Pew Boxes’ (in-pew-entertainment) available on the fourth Sundays, often with some informal crèche or children’s provision during the sermon. Fifth Sundays are flexible.
During this time of Corona we are providing high quality online resources for families to download for use with their young people, either in Church or at home. Take a look at what is available on our page for Young People https://ststephensbath.org.uk/young-people
You do not need to have any church background to join us for these services – all are welcome: regular churchgoers, occasional visitors, people who find something in church that they can’t find anywhere else, or if you just want to find out what it’s like: all are welcome. We use the rich resources of the Church of England services, as well as music, readings and prayers from other traditions.
We are an Inclusive Church, and have strong links with The Oasis Church Hub, part of the Oasis Network, and based at Hay Hill Baptist Church in Bath.cta-bannerimage-paragraph

choir
Saint Stephen’s has a very strong choral tradition, and maintains an excellent choir
Before the time of Corona there was choral communion on the first and third Sundays. The Choir also led us in key festival services, such as at Christmas and Easter. Andrew Russell has been organist and choirmaster for over 25 years, and has developed the music of the church with skill and sensitivity to worship. The choir will rehearse on Thursday evenings, when possible during the time of Corona.. It is a very friendly group which is always looking to welcome new members - ability to read music not essential.
