Our Beautiful World!

Our Beautiful World!

Our world is very beautiful in all its rich diversity of living things, and ecosystems which sustain interdependent life from the simplest to the most complex of organisms.  As Christians we believe it is an essential part of our responsibility to safeguard God's Creation.

There is now a huge groundswell of belief in the Church and the wider Community about the urgency of the need to address in faith, practice and mission, the scientifically accepted reality of climate change and the dangers it poses to all life on earth.

How can our actions make a difference?

How can our actions make a difference?

Inevitably we feel deeply inadequate in the face of global events and their links to major changes in the environment.  How can our actions make a difference we ask with all sincerity?  Yet we know that only by starting at an individual level with some fundamental changes in our life style can we hope to contribute to the legacy of an inhabitable planet for future generations of people and the animal kingdom.

FAST FOR The EARTH - your lent Challenge!

FAST FOR The EARTH - your lent Challenge!

We are asking you to think and pray about taking up some or all of the actions to reduce our carbon footprint upon our world. If you do this you will be fasting for the Earth and its future generations!

At the bottom of this page you will find the link to a LENT CALENDAR which has a carbon reducing action for all the family for every day of Lent on a single sheet which you can readily attach with a magnet to your fridge and tick off!  A great way to get your children involved!
