Stations of the Cross
At St Mary’s, Charlcombe & St Stephen’s, Lansdown Sun 28 March to Mon 5 April

This year we are delighted to offer a Stations of the Cross installation at each church. The paintings are by Seiger Köder, the prayers by Padraig Ó'Tuama of the Corrymeela Community. There is more information at each site, along with booklets that can be used with small groups and with children. The links to the guide for each installation are below. They will both run from Sunday 28th to Monday 5th April.  We have endeavoured to make the installations as Covid compliant as possible. Please wear a mask, keep a safe distance from others, and use hand sanitiser when offered. I'm grateful to Alison Schneider of St Mary's, Litton, for the original idea, and to Lizzie, Christian Duckworth and Holly Le Var for collaboration.  I hope these are helpful as you walk the way of Christ through Holy Week.  philip

Mary, Mother of Death

Mary, Mother of Death

"Mary, Mother of Death,
You held the corpse of your young son
- the worst of fears –
in your arms,
as he went where we have not yet gone.
We mark this with silence and art.
May we also learn from fear,
because fear
won’t save us from anything.  Amen"

Padraig Ó'Tuama
