The  Big Green Day was a wonderful, huge success!

So many people did so much to make it so – so thank you to everyone who was a part of it. Special thanks to Di Morgan, Bob and Christian for the energy and momentum of their enthusiasm. And thanks to those who were able to come and support this community celebration.

Meeting about Richmond Arms

The meeting on Wednesday with the Richmond Arms to talk about our community in Lansdown was excellent. The pub
is re-opening in August, Thursday-Sunday, with Catherine,the owner living there and running it. We discussed how our
church can be more open, and more of a presence.

Bath Churches

Sunday 2-9 June Bath Prayer 24-7 Old School House South Parade BA2 4AF prayer sign up

30 May 7.30pm 24-7 Prayer and Thy Kingdom Come launch Bath Abbey. Saturday 1 June 4pm pray over Bath area from 3 hills (Solsbury, Roundhill and Kelston). There will be at least one person at the top of each hill! Saturday 8 June 9.45-1pm in St Johns RC Church Speak Blessings Conference (Heather Read from Ffald y Brenin).

Friends of Charlcombe Summer Barbecue  on Sat 22nd  June 12.30pm for 1pm, Tickets Adults £10 (£5 children). Please bring your own plate, bowl, knife, fork, spoon and take them home afterwards. Glasses for drinking will be provided. Tickets:, 07767 324034 . 

Lansdown Friendship Club

This is taking place at St Stephen's Centre on the first Friday every month – 3.30pm, and is especially suited for anyone experiencing memory difficulties. All welcome with an accompanying family, friend or carer.  Scroll down to find link to more information.​​​​​​​


Popcorn is St Stephen’s new monthly film night for young people of secondary school age. Meeting on the first Sunday of the month 6.30-9:00 pm St Stephen's Church foyer. Bring a snack to share. email for more information

St Stephen's Gardening Dates 

Gardening dates are: 29th June, 27th July (judging usually takes place in July so it's an important date!) , 31st August and 28th September.  Depending on the weather dates in October & November will also be notified later. More details: . .


Prayer is the foundation of being church. St Stephen’s Mondays 8.45am, Saturday 9.30-10am. St Mary’s 8.10am and 9am Tuesdays, and meditation 7.00 pm Wednesdays.

Climate Change

B&NES council has declared a climate emergency and has voted to make our city carbon neutral by 2030. We will pray how our churches can support this.  Scroll down to find link below to Infomation about Family Action for Climate Emergency.  Also link to 7 Small Actions We Can All Take.


Please pray for the chaplaincies of Debbie at Send-a-Cow, and Philip for the Mayor of Bath, Cllr Patrick, this year.

Jane Hoe 

Jane Hoe has been passed by Bishop Ruth and has her ordination selection conference over the weekend of 8th July. Please pray for her, Brent, Ellen and Molly, in all its enormity.

Community Houses of Prayer (CHOP)

These groups meet once a month on a Tuesday at 19:45.  Meetings take place within the various Bath communities to pray for Bath and the area represented.  The event is organised by Bath Christian Action Network and more information is available on  Please scroll down to see the link to a poster below for full details of venue and dates.
